Software Engineer
Professionally I am a Software Engineer at Savannah River National Laboratory, where I build operator interfaces for robotics, autonomous systems, and scientific instrumentation. I am currently channeling that same passion of usability and design into web development. My self teachings include several courses in full stack development, UI/UX, and specific areas such as Node.js and React. I strive to improve my skills in giving users an exceptional experience whether it is an interface or a web application.
Operator control interface for a crawler robot. Live 3D orientation display reflecting real-time roll, pitch, and yaw alongside telemetry and command dispatch. Layout iterated with stakeholder feedback before implementation.
Laboratory calorimeter GUI with real-time temperature monitoring, configurable setpoints and ramp profiles, and automated data logging. Design iterated through hand sketches and stakeholder reviews.
Frontend development and backend integration for a mass spectrometer GUI. Live spectral plot with annotation and export, configurable scan parameters, and serial communication with the instrument.
Multi-phase project: initial version built from scratch using a custom CNN autoencoder, rearchitected around Anomalib for industrial requirements. Deployed to NVIDIA Jetson Orin with CUDA, achieving 95% detection accuracy in a production manufacturing environment.
Automated label reading and validation pipeline for industrial barrel inspection. PyTesseract deployed with custom 360° rotation scanning, error correction, and 6-step sequential validation built entirely from scratch.
Operator-facing interface for an AGV fleet integrating LiDAR, vision, and encoder sensor fusion. RTOS motion control achieving sub-10ms response times across a multi-robot factory floor.
Programmed a Moog Animatics SmartMotor in torque mode to drive a laboratory mixing device. Torque ramp profiles implemented for smooth acceleration and deceleration, preventing mechanical shock while maintaining precise mixing cycles.
Single-page portfolio built from scratch with custom section navigation, animated project cards with category filtering, and an About section. Deployed via GitHub Pages.
Personal web app for tracking cycle, workouts, nutrition, symptoms, mood, and energy — designed around the female hormonal cycle. Features phase-aware insights, SVG progress rings, and a Figma-designed component system.
Stock and order management tool for a small business selling custom apparel across multiple Etsy listings that share the same inventory. Tracks shared stock at the item level and updates counts across all affected listings when an order is logged.
Senior capstone project. Infrared facial recognition pipeline with a frontend built around the specific workflow. First project to spark a serious interest in frontend and UX/UI design.
Self-directed Figma project designing a complete multi-page app including homepage, about, items catalog, and checkout flow. Demonstrates components, auto layout, interactive prototyping, and design systems.
